Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test
Q: What is Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test?
A: Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) was held 10th of this month. OSSLT is a standard-ized English test in Ontario to measure students’ literacy level in grade 10. Successful passing of this test is a requirement to earn Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Q: Who needs to take OSSLT?
A: All Ontario high school students who wants to graduate with diploma.
Q: Do I have to take this test?
A: Yes, if you want to graduate with high school diploma in Ontario, you must take the test.
Q: What happens if I fail this test?
A: You can retake the test in the following year if you are not graduating that year, or you have an option of taking a literacy course (OSSLC)
Q: What is OSSLC?
A: OSSLC is literacy course that can be taken as literacy test requirement for OSSD.
Q: Who can take the course?
A: Candidates are those who took the test at least once and has failed the test, or mature students.
Q: I am a mature student, and I don’t have time to take the test?
