Expedited Program

Our University Express Program is designed to help students complete the admission requirements for Top universities in North America faster and more effectively. This intensive academic program can combine 6 months of ESL classes with 8 months of accredited secondary school courses.

We offer all the compulsory courses and many optional courses for students. The optional courses include Visual Art, Drama, World Studies, Social Science, and International languages. All our programs are designed to prepare students for university, or college. We also have summer and night school programs which allow students to maximize their time. Portfolio preparation (if applicable)

OSSLT

OSSLT is an Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirement. The test is based on Ontario curriculum expectations for language and communication, particularly reading and writing, up to and Grade 9. If you fail the test, you must complete OSSLC (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course) in order to graduate. Keep in mind this test is taken during March or April.

 Special COVID-19 Update: November 2020 

The Ontario Ministry of Education has exempted students graduating in the 2020-2021 Academic Year from the OSSLT requirement. Please note that is exemption is only for students graduating in this academic year (those graduating June 2021). Therefore, everyone else will still be required to complete the Ontario Literacy Requirement.

IELTS

IELTS is a test that measures your knowledge of the English Language. Most Language scores (IELTS, TOEFL etc..) Are due normally by April 1st. During the course of the year, UIS will be running IELTS courses to help improve your IELTS mark by April 1st.
