UIS - An inspiring platform not for educators but UIS - An inspiring platform not for educators but for exploring hidden talents in students as well.

UIS and Ms. Malik first came up with the idea for the fashion show to open students’ minds to the world of fashion and how important it is to society and even the economy.

In doing so, Ms.Malik discovered that many students were prodigies in the field. It was a very pleasant surprise how easily students came up with valuable and quality fashion ideas and discovered their own hidden talents.

Like music, fashion can communicate words and feelings without the spoken word. UIS and Ms. Malik stand humbled and thrilled at the work fashion students submitted .

The federal government is expecting Moderna to make good on a previously promised batch of 855,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses that were expected last week, but have yet to arrive.

Those delayed doses along with a little more than one million shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine represent the extent of Canada’s expected vaccine deliveries this week, even as the number of new COVID-19 cases across Canada continues to surge.

Pfizer-BioNTech has been consistently delivering more than 1 million shots to Canada each week for more than a month, a trend that is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

<Canada government said Canada to receive 5 million Pfizer vaccine doses in June💉>

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Pfizer-BioNTech has confirmed it will move up delivery of five million vaccine doses to June from later in the summer.

The earlier shipment period will boost the number of Pfizer doses received by the end of that month to 18 million doses.

Procurement Minister Anita Anand says the accelerated schedule means Canada will receive about 44 million vaccine doses in total by the end of June, more than enough for every Canadian to receive at least one shot.

By the end of this week, Canada will have received about 9.5 million vaccine doses from three manufacturers, with 3.2 million doses arriving this week alone.

<Ontario universities are eyeing on-campus classes and activities this fall — or possibly even sooner — as the province’s vaccination rollout ramps up🏫>

Western University President Alan Shepard said in a written released
We expect to return to face-to-face instruction, and more of the on-campus experiences we all love, this coming September. And, he added, “as vaccines become more readily available over the spring and summer and as the Western community continues to remain vigilant both on and off-campus, we’re increasingly confident of these plans.” Schools now say they hope to have a clearer picture to give their students before the end of the winter term, at the end of April.
However, Some of the schools said it is looking to get back to normal as soon as it is safe, though specifics are still in the works.
The University of Toronto said it is “looking forward, with optimism, to fall 2021 when people can once more gather on our campuses, as permitted by public health guidelines … By September, we aim to support students, faculty, staff, and librarians to return to campus, while also preserving some of the best innovations of the past year in terms of technology and flexible work arrangements.”

Provinces have an “opportunity” to vaccinate younger people sooner with the recently approved AstraZeneca vaccine, based on advice from government-appointed experts and the looming expiration date on thousands of doses arriving this week, says Dr. Theresa Tam, the chief public health officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada.

As of March 1, the province had administered 80 percent of the 903,000 shots it had gotten from Ottawa up until this point, with a seven-day average of 19,320 shots given each day, as indicated by the University of Toronto's COVID-19 Open Data Working Group.
